La Recoleta Argentinian Mate Workshop
Mate Workshop in Recoleta
When booking, you can choose from the following options:
Workshop Without Pastry Tasting (25 minutes)
At this mate workshop, we'll learn to prepare one of Argentina's most iconic drinks at a venue in Recoleta, in the heart of the capital.
At this establishment, dedicated entirely to mate, we'll start with the origins of the infusion. You'll discover who first drank it, the different ways it's consumed, its historical and cultural significance and, above all, its aromas and flavors.
To that end, we'll taste 3 types of agroecological and smoked yerbas, along with various grinds and mate blends.
Between one infusion and the next, we'll also hear some of the legends surrounding the world of mate. Many of these stories go back several centuries and are sure to surprise you.
After 25 minutes, the workshop comes to an end at the venue.
Workshop With Pastry Tasting (50 minutes)
This option includes the same experience described above. In addition, as we prepare and taste the mates, we'll accompany them with a tasting of Argentinian sweets: medialunas, homemade alfajores, and cheese scones or chipá.
